Hypnogaja - Lullaby

(REALLY Sorry about the delay. Life has had me around the neck and I haven't had much time tom myself. I found some space to squeeze in a few posts. I'll have some scheduled before hand so this doesn't ever happen again. AGAIN, I apologize! Now, without further delay...)

Hypnogaja is a Alternative Rock group that was formed in Los Angeles, California with the original intent of being a electronic studio project. With their albums and songs being released throughout the years, they began to gain prestiege and popularity, and began to open for bands such as Saliva and 311. Even with such a large fan base, they are usually under appreciated and not very well known. Many fans hope that one day, their promising lyrics and mesmerizing tones will make them reach the high charts.

Hypnogaja's crew list consist of vocalist Jason Arnold, keyboardist Mark Nubar Donikian, drummerAdrian Barnardo and guitarists Bryan Farrar and Abe Parker. Together they manage to create a melodic tempo that even softer music listeners will enjoy. Take a seat and peel an ear open to Lullaby, a simple but often inspiring song I find myself listening to on my MP3 player frequently.

Amon Amarth - Where Is Your God?

*Before I being, I do apologize for the video. This isn't the official music video and I couldn't find a video with a a still picture that Youtube would allow me to post due to copy writes. I also apologize for being late with this post. Because of this, I'm doing a double post today. Enjoy!*

Amon Amarth, if they aren't the very definition of Viking and Heavy Metal, I don't know what is. Their heavy guitar riffs and amazing double bass sets the mood for all of their songs, often accompanied by a song, tale or morale which isn't unheard of with most foreign metal bands. "Where Is Your God" is a energetic song filled with heavy bass and drum strikes and a sick guitar riffs that will make your ears bleed gold. No other song can even come close to explaining how Amon Amarth takes the modern instruments that are used today and uses them to create tempos and outstanding note combinations.

Stone Temple Pilots - Sex Type Thing

Stone Temple Pilots is a 90's grunge band with a medium tempo and a heavy bass that captivates even the young ones of today's generation. STP (Stone Temple Pilots is commonly abbreviated as such) is an American rock band that orginated from California. The bassist/back up vocals (Robert DeLeo) and guitarist Dean DeLeo are brothers who created the band with lead vocalist Scott Weiland.

Their first album "Core" was created six years after the band formed and it gained them their recognition and showed their promising talent. "Core" went to earn them eight platinum records and sold 45 million records. Out of those records, only 17 million were sold in the United States.

Taking a small hiatus in 2003, they regrouped in 2008, creating their sixth self titled album, "Stone Temple Pilots". Overall, Stone Temple Pilots are always going to be a grand band with many songs in mind. If you haven't heard of them until now, it's highly recommended that you take a seat and listen to this eargasm.

Seba - Blaze & Fade Out (Maxi Version)

Yes, yes. I understand that I've already posted a DnB (Drum and Bass) musical video (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, go back a few posts and view "Pendulum - Still Grey") but I recently caught wind of this song. Not knowing much about Seba, I set out on a research adventure to scour new information for my site and I happened to stumble upon a few interesting facts about the artist.

Seba is a nickname for Sebastian Ahrenberg who is obviously a DnB producer. He was born in Ingaro which is an island outside of Sweden. He even owns his own record label, Secret Operations. Said label was created in the basement of a club called Tuben. Since then, Seba has been creating DnB productions, such as "Blaze & Fade Out" that encorporate deep musical atmospheric melodies and transitional beats that string together to create a song that seems to flow into itself and vibrate the very core of this musical genre.

Mary Elizabeth Mcglynn - Illusion In Me

Some people tend to shun soundtracks from media such as video games, TV series and movies. I however, being the vivid gamer I am, enjoy OST and the such from any piece of digital media. So it's natural that the Silent Hill OST's are illuminating enough to draw me in like a moth to a flame.

Illusion In Me is the opening song for Silent Hill Origins for the PSP that plays when the credits roll in the opening scene. Slow and oddly comforting and disturbing, it matches the footsteps of the main character as you pass the high way with nothing but fog to follow.

Mary Elizabeth Mcglynn's voice matches the eerie musical tone that Akira Yomoaka produced and placed into stone. Overall, if you are a fan of horror movies and unsettling background music, then be glad to take a seat and listen to this tune.

Tool - Eulogy

Tool is a very distinguishable band in more ways than many people can describe. It is thorough in it's musical works, pressing and pushing many buttons for many people. It can incite happiness, fear, anguish, and even inspire some. This specific song happens to be one of my favorites.

How you may find it's lyrics meaning something to you depends upon how you listen to the song. As of many songs by Tool, their meanings can be interpreted differently by different people at different times. If you like songs that can sway you emotionally and mentally, then take a seat and pull out a pair of headphones.

Pendulum - Still Grey

Pendulum is a major player in the DnB (Drum and Bass) musical genre. With over three albums and their great sense of control and balance with snares and deep drum bass kicks, they make any of their songs kick complete ass. Here you have a great example, "Still Grey" is a saucy and energy packed song with plenty of rhythm time and a full eight minutes of psychedelic musical motions that make you feel the emotion. If you're a fan of Electronica or Techno, then you definitely want to pick up Pendulum and start listening.

Harvey Danger - Flagpole Sitta

Flagpole Sitta, famous for being known as the theme song in a British comedy known as "Peep Show" and used as a background song during the fifth "American Pie" movie in which the characters are helping one another lose their v-card. Some of the lyrics were also used by "Weird Al" Yanchovich in his song "Polka Power!". This song is one of the more upbeat types that I listen to and often it finds itself being removed from my digital shelf to be played over and over again.

Welcome to iBlog!
