Madonna does not approve of M.I.A.'s Super Bowl finger

Just about everybody who was watching the big game go down between the Giants and the Patriots saw the half-time show -- and, of course, it could not go off without someone doing something. Sure enough, M.I.A. flipped the birdie at the nation for what appears to be no reason.

I guess she wants to prove how edgy she really is... or something...

At any rate, Madonna seems to be miffed about it. Speaking of M.I.A., Madonna said to Ryan Seacrest during his radio show, "It's such a teenager, irrelevant thing to do ... what was the point? It was just out of place." Well, Madonna, let us take a look at a few things before we start throwing those stones in that big, expensive glass house of yours, alright?

First off, we can note that M.I.A. appeals to a much younger audience than that of Madonna: the mostly high-school and college age crowd. While it is not as though Madonna does not catch the attention of the teenage and young-adult crowd, she is still largely the music of a somewhat maturing generation. M.I.A., while not too young herself (age 36 currently), still happens to cater to a much younger group.

Not to mention you were not exactly the 'good girl' on television yourself, Madonna!

Gotta give it to her, though: she looked like she hadn't aged a day up on that stage. At any rate, I am sure most will forgive this slip up on both parts, and let this small exchange of words fade away in history (or, at least, I hope).

Until the next music scandal, see ya!
